The Cowshed Restaurant is family owned, serving high quality food.  The restaurant wanted to expand their offering to include an ice-cream parlour which could be accessed by the main restaurant and for customers just looking for a desert.  The extension provides this space and link the two functions of the existing building.

Hotel Lounge extension

The Houghton Arms Hotel acts as a community focal point in the village of Alford in Aberdeenshire. The existing building has been modified a number of times during its history and the current bar lounge has been deemed too small for modern space requirements. We redesigned the space by adding an extension to provide the additional space as well as update the exterior with a contemporary by sympathetic extension. We sought planning permission and building warrant approval, the project is in the construction stage.

New Plant Hire workshop and cafe

This project is the expansion of the Plant Hire business to create a workshop, showroom and cafe. We worked closely with the owner to develop a large workshop suitable for maintaining their machinery as well as a public show room and cafe within the restraints of the site and the clients budget.
